Partnership With Parents/Carers
How are parents/carers of children with SEND involved in the education of their child?
At Kings Norton, we value our partnership with parents/Carers and always try to ensure that we are approachable. Our school aims to regularly involve parents/carers in the education of their child through a variety of different ways which may include:
Regular meetings with SENCO, class teacher and support staff (both formal reviews and meetings on request at other times to address any concerns)
Target setting (through IEPs) so that parents/carers can see what their child is working on next, if appropriate
Regular curriculum information to inform parents/carers of what will be going on during the term
Information on the school website
Parents and Carer’s evenings
Change to coffee mornings with external agency involvement
Parent/carer’s views recorded on review documents
Home/school books to inform parents of important information, if appropriate
Regular blogs on our website
Parents are also always welcome to play a more active role in our school community by joining our school PTA.
